“There came a time when the risk to remain tight as a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

My counseling philosophy

I believe you are the expert in your own life. I also believe that life is full of experiences that shape the way we perceive ourselves and relate to others, sometimes creating patterns difficult to untangle on our own. As a counselor, my primary focus is to support you in untangling these social-emotional-behavioral knots that limit your ability to fully embrace and accept your beautiful, unique self. I approach the counseling process as a means for you to better understand yourself and your relationships through the collaborative relationship that exists between client and counselor. I work from a person-centered experiential approach that incorporates mindfulness and internal-family systems principles.
